Cody Cress Named 2018 Agent of the Year for Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners

Cody Cress, Vice President and CRE Advisor with Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners, was recently named 2018 Agent of the Year for the commercial real estate firm. The annual award is presented to the individual agent who has generated the most Gross Commission Income (GCI) for the year. Cress joined the firm in 2007 and since that time, has been honored as Agent of the Year eight times.

Cress is a native of Sanford, NC and a graduate of NC State University with a BS in Environmental Engineering. He began his career as an environmental engineer for an equipment manufacturer, but real estate was always a passion. He purchased his first commercial property in 1996 and owns and manages his own portfolio of properties. As a commercial agent, Cress works with a variety of businesses, but his area of expertise is industrial, office and retail properties.

“Cress has been a consistent performer at the highest level – which is a very difficult feat in our business.  I attribute that to a few things: a background outside of commercial real estate which helps him see things through his client’s eyes to serve them better; an internal drive to make connections and foster those relationships; and lastly Cress has an unparalleled knowledge of our marketplace”, said Mark Johnson, EVP/Broker-In-Charge Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners. In late 2012, Cress formed the Cress Group within Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners which is a collaborative team of Cody Cress and Tyler Pegg and marketing/research assistant, Carlie Barnes. The team approach allows them to provide premier commercial real estate brokerage, consulting and advisory services to their clients.  Their mission is to understand their clients’ needs and utilize their local team and national firm resources to develop and implement cutting-edge strategies to achieve results that exceed their clients’ expectations.
