Biography
David joined Sun Coast Partners in early 2023, specializing in land in Brunswick County that’s in the path of progress.
David uses his relationships in Brunswick County, along with Sun Coast relationships with Real Estate Developers of all types, to assemble deals that are beneficial to all parties. Within David’s first year at Sun Coast, he put deals exceeding $30M under contract in Brunswick County.
David has extensive experience in Agriculture and in the development of Recreational/Sporting properties. He is the former owner of Summerlin Farms & Produce, a multi-award-winning business in Brunswick County. He also spent 10 years as right-hand man to A.G. Floyd, a pioneer in waterfowl property development and management in Hyde County, NC, where David assisted in the development of some of the finest waterfowl and sporting properties on the East Coast. He then went on to work as a professional Waterfowl Hunting Guide in central North Dakota. More recently, David has assisted his father-in-law in managing Jerome’s Steak & Seafood in Shallotte, NC, continuing his wife’s father’s legacy of 45 consecutive years in the Seafood Restaurant business in Brunswick County.
David is a North Carolina native, born in Washington, NC and he grew up in Louisburg, NC. David went to much of grade school in Raleigh and after graduating from Needham B. Broughton High School, went on to attend Louisburg College and Campbell University.
David, his wife and their two sons and two daughters live in southern Brunswick County, where they love spending as much time around the water as possible. They are active members of Camp United Methodist Church in Shallotte. They love to travel, and they spend much of the winter duck hunting in Currituck County, carrying on a multi-generation family tradition.
