Biography

Bill Rose has been a commercial real estate broker since 1995. He joined Sun Coast Partners in March of 2009 as a part of the merger with Prudential Commercial Real Estate, another large Wilmington-based commercial firm. During his time as a real estate broker, Bill has completed hundreds of transactions involving all property types, including both leasing and sales. Prior to entering commercial real estate, he spent over 25 years in the mortgage banking, savings and loan, and commercial banking business in the Wilmington area. Much of his career was spent as the chief lending officer of Carolina Savings Bank and the last several years of his banking career as President and CEO of the bank prior to its merger with BB&T. During this time, he also served in the Naval Reserves and retired as a Commander.

Bill has lived and worked in the Wilmington area since 1970 and has been actively involved in the community throughout that time. Currently, he is an Executive Board Member of the Cape Fear Council of the Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver Award). He is a Past President and served many years as a Board Member of the Wilmington Family YMCA. He continues to serve on the Finance Committee. He is a member of the Wilmington Rotary Club and serves as Chairman of the Membership Background Committee. He is a Past President of the N. C. Azalea Festival and the Realtors Commercial Alliance (MLS) of the Wilmington Board of Realtors. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Cape Fear Community College. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and participated in graduate management programs at the University of Georgia and Indiana University.
